Several factors are analysed, such as the manufacturing cycle, the plant schematics, the type of loads, the supply transformers, etc. as well as accurate energy quantity and quality profiling, which is performed by means of sophisticated metering equipment and more specifically by measuring the following parameters:
| ● |
Active and Reactive Power of the loads
●
Instantaneous and average Power Factor
●
Harmonic Content
●
Voltage and Current distortion
●
Value of the reactive power needed for power factor correction.

The analysis of the lines’ working conditions is then elaborated on a computer, using mathematical models and specifically designed software. A final descriptive Technical Report is then drafted of the dimensioning of the PFC equipment required and of the corresponding offer.
